The morning of Erie’s annual Lights Over Lake Erie firework display, I realized there was going to be a full moon that evening. Much to my surprise, the moon was scheduled to rise during the fireworks display! I looked up where the moon was going to rise on the horizon and plotted out on a map where I needed to be to get the shot. The crowd of people near me were cheering enthusiastically when the moon appeared halfway through the show.
