Tethered is a massive, year-long collaboration of over 50 Erie-based creatives with backgrounds in acting, dance, music, and film. Tethered shows the demise of relationships and touches on themes of addiction, codependency, domestic violence, rehabilitation, therapy, and hope. While the topics are heavy, the performances show redemption for each character as they journey to find the help they need.
Tethered performances ran simultaneously across all 5 floors of the historic Meyer / PACA building. Each performance was synchronized to an original musical score composed by Tony Grey. Performances were 1 hour in duration and repeated 3 times each night. Attendees interacted with a performer only if the interaction was initiated by a performer. Attendees received special wristbands during check-in if they consented to interaction.
Tethered Producers include Erie-based creatives: Nikki Behr, Hannah Borczon, Betsy Butoryak, Adele Crotty, Jesse James, Corinne Justine, and John C. Lyons.
